ASDA’s Wellness Initiative encourages you to make well-being a priority with a focus on these five dimensions of your life: Emotional, Physical, Intellectual, Occupational, and Environmental. Wellness stems from focusing on each of these dimensions and finding a balanced way of addressing all of them, as needed.

intro: WELLNESS SERIES
Colorado ASDA just launched our brand-new wellness series focused on each of the five dimensions of wellness. Acknowledging the individuality of wellness, we interviewed students and faculty that uniquely embody the five dimensions.
CHAPTER 1: INTELLECTUAL WELLNESS
Intellectual wellness encourages us to engage in creative and mentally stimulating activities. See how Rachael Yancey nurtures curiosity and lifelong learning through reading.
CHAPTER 2: EMOTIONAL WELLNESS
Did you know that 52% of dental students self report moderate to severe anxiety? Listen to Niv Baskaran open up and talk about how she has overcome her anxiety in dental school.
CHAPTER 3: physical WELLNESS
“Like other people, at the end of their day they maybe watch a movie or read a book. For me I enjoy going to the gym and get my stress out through exercise.” - Hamilton Pennywell. Check out how these CU students stay in tune with their physical health!
CHAPTER 4
Environmental wellness refers to your relationships to your surroundings, both your immediate surroundings and the world at large. Check out how these CU students find harmony with their environment!
CHAPTER 5: occupational WELLNESS
Occupational wellness refers to developing work-life balance, managing working relationships and having enthusiasm for your job. See how CU Faculty member, Armantine Lehn, finds personal satisfaction and enrichment through her work-life!
