Composite Restoration / Buildup Checklists

Chairside Drawer Checklist:

  • 2x2 gauze
  • Saliva ejector tip (slow speed suction tip)
  • High speed suction tip
  • Floss
  • Pt napkin
  • Operator mask

Cart Checklist:

  • Matrix bands, Mylar strip, and/or Tofflemire bands
  • Wedges
  • Articulating paper
  • 35% phosphoric acid etch + new tip
  • Optibond FL
  • Microbrushes
  • Composite (after choosing shade based upon shade guide)

  • Pre-punched rubber dams (2 or 3); slotted hole (2 punches next to each other) on posterior

  • Local anesthetic (e.g. Lidocaine), needle (e.g. 27 gauge long for IA nerve blocks, 30 gauge short for buccal infiltration), cardboard needle holder

  • Lollicaine (benzocaine topical)

  • Enhance point, cup, or disc (optional)
