IV Sedation Observation Competency- X9243

This competency can be challenged at any time after you enter clinic. It does not have to be completed during an OS rotation and can be done during a Perio Assist rotation or an open clinic session.

The competency consists of the observation of any procedure done using IV sedation.

You must inform the resident or faculty that you are challenging your competency prior to the appointment beginning. The X-code can be planned chair-side.

Observation, from beginning to end, will result in a passing grade. There is no grading criteria published by the school for this competency.
